This past week has been an interesting one.
I was NOT sick just long enough to attend an organizational meeting for people that were interested in running for office this fall for the Hollywood Board (and if enough votes are cast for them, the National Board) of the Screen Actors' Guild.
I'm thinking I just might do it. They asked me to, and I'm mulling it over.

Math is hard, but this isn't so much. I just did

I actually love to say "I told you so." For that moment, there is an immense amount of satisfaction in being right, in particular, about how to make money with the Internet - which then gives way to sadness when my admonitions actually come true.

There are a couple of sites that cover the embarrassing SAG infighting, one of which is The SAGWatch Blog. A
recent post on this site, which covered the unbelievable move by SAG's Alan Rosenberg to use the courts to get his way, generated a typical hard-liner comment, and it's sad to read.
It's even more sad to realize the pain in what the commenter, LA, is really trying to say:

I really am concerned about Alan Rosenberg's mental health. He's exhibiting signs of being absolutely corrupted by power.
The leader of SAG has begun to slowly spiral into a power induced cycle of destruction, and this week, it got worse.

Clearly, the Screen Actors' Guild is a dysfunctional organization, bitterly divided between members in favor of striking, and members against a strike. SAG's leadership is, unfortunately, playing unilateral brinksmanship rather than shepherding the discussion.
