KC takes a promotional tour of the world-famous Santa Monica Promenade!
Kitty Claws and the Magic of Dreaming, now through December 21st at the Miles Memorial Playhouse in Santa Monica.
Time to send out a new postcard to the casting directors on my list: we've been officially notified that we're a selection in the Festval de Cannes. That's the world-famous, really important, Nicholson-goes-there-to-ogle-the-women Cannes Film Festival.
And, again, I'm not going.
Do you have any idea how expensive it is to go to Nice or Cannes this time of year?
My Name Is Wallace, along with a number of other award winning shorts, will be screened at the Fine Arts Cinema early this Saturday night (12/10 at 6pm) as part of Orange County Film's Network Film Night.
If you caught his appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, you saw the same Elwood I sit with in sessions monthly at Power Group at The Actor's Network.
We've both been cast in an action/adventure short, being shot in Newbury Park, about a boy who loves video games, and whose mom gets sucked into the game through the TV screen. He and his dad enlist the services of a General (Elwood) and a reluctant soldier (me) to help save her.
OK...as promised, and even though I hate to scare the kids, here you go. I have a feeling when my mom sees this, she'll be wondering how we got pictures of her to use in the film.
The costume, a 3X cobalt blue beaded dress, is one of the same outfits that Bea Arthur wore on Golden Girls.
This all happened so fast, I didn't even get a chance to post a Cast! notice. I just wrapped principal photography on a combination live-action/animation feature called Gemini Max and the Glowing Goddess.
