You hear a lot of people these days commenting on the economy. And some are using the economy to reason against voting to authorize the Screen Actors' Guild to strike. That's easy, but short sighted.
It's not that we shouldn't vote against authorization - it's just not the right reason.

Clearly, the Screen Actors' Guild is a dysfunctional organization, bitterly divided between members in favor of striking, and members against a strike. SAG's leadership is, unfortunately, playing unilateral brinksmanship rather than shepherding the discussion.
